about

A polymorphous artist, dDASH sings, plays all the instruments he uses (bass, guitar, drums, keys) and even draws himself his puzzling records' illustrations. His two brand new releases, « Ease Up Jerk » and « Hyperactive Jerk », reveal a very personal and hard to categorize soundtrack.

Jb Hanak is back, oscillating between crazy indie-rock and mutant punk, to create a brand new direction in his own universe full of emotional vintage melodies, singular whisperings and truly agressive moments. An unique project that reminds us a fusion between Dinosaur Jr on helium or a '83 Beck during a LSD trip. An astonishing second wave of records after the mischievous « Alien Folk Trash » released in 2003 by Austrian record label Angelika Kohlermann / Mego.

Sluggish and sumptuous, impetuous and nervous, his atmospheric rock quickly gives way to a cataclysmic post-hardcore brought back to life from 1991 garages. A melting-rock that gives birth to a deviant, poorly educated music from the Sub pop and Amphetamine Reptile first generations of followers.

During this mystic ceremony, eyes closed, nodding to slow time, dDash dives with his slender nose in an Old-Times tormented trance, far from the mainstream star but always close of his own contemporary white trash exoplanet. Rock the Cash Bat!
